Why choose EV?

The pollution linked to the increase in diesel and petrol vehicles has become a pressing social problem. Driving an EV can reduce this effect as the vehicles produce less noise and harmful gases. This is why EV's are termed the "Eco" cars.

But benefits are more than just environmental. Petroleum (used to produce petrol) is a natural resource of limited supply. Using an EV can help preserve this resource.

EV in Japan・・・

The EV is becoming popular in Japan due to its ability to charge from household power sockets and its zero fuel consumption.
After a days use the EV can be charged for the following day. A fully charged up EV will travel 80km today but battery improvements will enable a range of 160km and even more in the future.

Global Warming and EV

The Greenhouse effect is growing due to the raising levels of energy consumption which can be traced back to the industrial revolution. The increasing amounts of CO2 in the air could be the cause of detrimental effects to our living environment such as climate change.

Transportation accounts for 20% of the CO2 emissions in the world today; reducing these emissions is a massive challenge. Diesel HV's are an example of the latest low emission vehicles but, whilst they are successful in less populated areas such as Europe, in Tokyo they still present a serious problem. This is where the EV wins.

Nissan LEAF is the EV capable of meeting the users demands at a reasonable price.

EV

  • An EV replaces the petrol engine with an electronic motor and battery. As there is no petrol engine there are no harmful gas emissions during driving. Noises and vibrations are also reduced. That's EV.
